Seriously, don’t they look like your average petty criminal. Like all those bad guys I see on my TV. Unfortunately, it’s not some B grade Hollywood crime movie. They are mug-shots of four former Minneapolis police officers who just murdered a fellow citizen.

George Floyd was strangled to death by these four officers, because they believed they could. They believed they could murder an unarmed, handcuffed, black citizen of Minnesota, because that’s the way it has always been ‘done’ to minorities in America.

It’s not only these police officers who believe this is the way to treat coloured minorities. It’s the view of a real lot of white America.

I gave up on America a long time ago. I believe America is beyond redemption, even if it reads Presidents Donald Trumps bible every day for the rest of their biggety lives.

Americans are neglectful, negligent and indifferent to the plight of their minorities. Always have been and to be sure to be sure, they will never be for Turning.

I was not always so despondent about America. I have studied, worked and holiday in America since I was twenty. It was the place to fulfil my academic studies, to run a multinational owned company. But as I became immersed in America’s culture I increasingly became disenchanted….Why?
